Menu Privacy Notice

1. Who is responsible for diner data

When you use a restaurant's Ramlyon menu, that restaurant or merchant decides why your diner and order data is used. The merchant is the controller for that data, and Ramlyon processes it on the merchant's behalf. Ramlyon is separately responsible for the limited account, security, and platform-administration data for which it determines the purpose.

2. What the merchant collects through the menu

If you only browse, the menu can record a random browser identifier, menu and category views, add-to-cart events, device type, operating system, and browser. The identifier is stored in localStorage; it is not a cookie.

If you place an order, the merchant also receives the name and phone number you provide, your selected items and options, quantities, notes, order type, and table label where applicable. Ramlyon does not collect, store, or transmit payment-card details.

If you choose delivery, the merchant additionally receives the delivery area you select, the address you enter, any landmark or access notes you add for the driver, and the name and phone number of the person who will receive the order. Ramlyon does not collect location coordinates from your device and the menu does not ask your browser for your location.

If the recipient is not you, you are giving the merchant another person's contact details and address. Please only do this when that person is expecting the delivery.

3. Why the data is used

The merchant uses order details to prepare and fulfil your order, contact you about it, maintain restaurant records, and understand menu performance. Anonymous menu measurements help the merchant see which dishes and categories visitors view and how visits lead to orders.

Ramlyon does not use a third-party analytics SDK or advertising pixel, does not share your menu identifier with other restaurants, and does not use it for advertising, cross-restaurant profiling, or AI model training.

4. Your menu privacy controls

Open Privacy in the menu footer to reset the random identifier or turn menu measurement off. Turning measurement off is stored only in your browser. It does not set a cookie or send an opt-out record to the server. A browser reset, private session, or different device has its own storage and controls.

5. Sharing and retention

Ramlyon processes this data only to provide the service for the merchant, operate and secure the platform, comply with a valid legal requirement, or protect the service. It is not disclosed to another merchant. Infrastructure providers are listed in the Sub-processors document, and the applicable periods are listed in the Data Retention Policy.

Order identity may be erased while financial order rows and amounts are retained. For a delivery order this includes the address, the recipient's name and phone number, and any notes left for the driver; the delivery fee and the order amounts are kept. Anonymous aggregate statistics can remain after the underlying event data is deleted.

6. Requests from diners

You may ask about access, correction, or erasure of your diner data. Contact the merchant shown on the menu first and provide enough information for it to find your records, normally the phone number used for the order and relevant order details. A request made with a phone number also covers delivery records where that number was given as the recipient, so somebody who received an order placed by another person can ask on their own behalf. Do not send passwords, payment credentials, or unnecessary identity documents.

Because the merchant controls diner data, Ramlyon will usually forward a diner request to that merchant and assist the merchant with its export and erasure tools. If you cannot reach the merchant, contact [email protected] and identify the restaurant and menu involved.
